PACIFIC ENERGY
French Polynesia's first agrivoltaic power plant with energy storage. Agrodev is in charge of project management assistance for the agricultural component of the project.
Led by the limited liability company headed by Albert Moux, this ambitious project aims to promote the production of renewable energies to foster the sustainable development of Fenua and control the costs of electricity production.
The company is positioning itself as a pioneer in the field of agrivoltaics in Polynesia, integrating various agricultural technologies on a single site, such as livestock farming, open-field and greenhouse crops, in partnership with SCA Vaihiria. The project also includes the launch of a new sheep farming sector in partnership with breeders in southern Tahiti, thus contributing to the territory's food self-sufficiency.
In parallel, it aims to stimulate economic development in southern Tahiti, where activity is expected to grow in the coming years. This project also marks a transformation of the energy activities of Mr. Albert Moux's family group.
In terms of job creation, the operation of the power plant and the agricultural operations will eventually generate around fifteen direct and indirect jobs (employees and subcontractors), mainly on the East coast and the Taravao area.
